galileo's story
  Galileo

Galileo is a 7 year old Arabian gelding. When Galileo arrived at Bethany Pappani Training in 2007, he suffered from various physical aliments, from ulcers to conformational related lameness. Galileo was completely crooked, using only one side of his body.  Galileo also held mental insecurities surrounding nearly all interactions. He was extremely difficult to handle, impossible for a Veterinarian.  His challenging mannerisms sought patience in the worst way. He displayed fear-aggressive behaviors.  Although his partner held high hopes for Galileo, he was unable to train & compete in his current condition.

Adorra is Grade mare who is approximately 10 years old. Adorra came to Bethany Pappani Training as very sad and confused horse, exhibiting very dangerous behavior.  Adorra was impossible to handle, and unsafe to lead. She was also severely underweight. Nearly all her handlers and equine professionals in varying fields had given up hope after seeing her behavior first-hand. Upon her evaluation, I felt we could work with Adorra and teach her the value of being with two-leggeds.

When Galeno arrived at Bethany Pappani Training, it was obvious when this horse was started, he never had his topline muscle built correctly. Due to being forced into collection before his muscle strength was developed, his back had dipped into a ‘swayback’, he had old muscle tears in his neck and carried himself in an extremely inverted position.
